I have a Motorola Droid and I can’t seem to squeeze out any more battery life from the phone. Similar arguments could be made with any other Smartphones that are available on the market, but the realization is that the Motorola Droid almost has to have a charging cable connected to it at all times.

I find myself in situations where I’m at work, charging my phone. I’m in my car, charging my phone. I met my home and my phone is on the charger.

I can’t seem to get any more battery life out of it.

I’ve long said that mobile phones are not phones at all; they’re small PC’s and the function of making a phone call is only a side affect of what they can really do.

The push for phones to do all kinds of things besides voice conversations is cause for raised curiosity.

I recently posted a story about how the newspapers are dying because of online resources producing basically the same content. And within just a few days of that Rupert Murdoch announces that he’s going to charge for access or the content on online news resources.

Did he not read my article? Probably not.

Blogging is viral. Anyone with a PC or a smart phone with Internet access can be a reporter. Even if the information that’s reported will be debunked as soon as others research it. The think we take for granted is that the news and newspapers are supposed to be credible; but they have credibility issues as well- so what’s the difference.

Nuance is still working on the release of their Dragon NaturallySpeaking for smart phones. While the release for the iPhone is still planned, it seems to be delayed a bit. The first release or beta testing of Dragon NaturallySpeaking for a smart phone will be for the Blackberry.

The release of the iPhone version is slated for release later this year… This is still very exciting news.

With everyone I’ve spoken to, they are very interested in this ability; the ability to dictate a blog from their phone.
