DIGG: Twitter FAIL WHALE, meet BROKEN AN AXLE

conjunction, Corruption, DIGG, Disaster, Four Months, Frequent Appearances, Front Page, GUI, Hooker, Job, Long Time, Open Beta Test, previous version, Reddit, Rigging, social news, traffic, twitter, WhaleDigg used to be the place to go to get your fill on social news, but lately, in conjunction with the release of Digg v4, it’s been down more often than a $5 hooker.

In the rings of social news, in the previous version Digg was tolerable, old, but tolerable. Now Digg is supposed to be new and improved and have more appeal- it doesn’t.

There’s been reports of corruption and rigging at Digg for a long time. They said with the latest release all that was going to change…

Windows Live Writer: How to Open Old Posts

imageOne of the more lacking and obtuse features of Windows Live Writer is the lacking ability to open old posts. In the previous version you were limited to 500 previous posts.

Now that the new Wave 4 beta version is out, you can open 3000+ previous posts, but the catch is that Windows Live Writer has to download all those posts [each time] to reference the one post.

Review: eMclient v2.0

image eMclient has presented itself as the alternative to Microsoft Outlook and while it has many competitive features, apparently it’s not ready enough to break the finish line ribbon.

Nothing would make me happier than to be able to post an absolutely outrageous and fantastic review about eMclient, but the latest release of this application, after months of waiting, was a little bit of a disappointment to me.

About a week ago the latest revision of eMclient was released, version 2. I had a previous version of eMclient and when I downloaded the next version [v2] I had some difficulties with the upgrade process. I had e-mailed the authors and I didn’t get an immediate response, but I was able to contact them through Twitter. through Twitter I got a quick response from one of the support staff and they gave me the information that needed to be able to clear out the previous installation completely and then start all over. This wasn’t a big deal because I wasn’t using eMclient as my primary e-mail program.
