Google enters the Twitter arena – just better.

ezavctjzTwitter is a social enigma that is just uber-popular, but now everyone is getting in to the business of cloning Twitter.

The process is kind of confusing in its application, but everyone seems to like sharing their links and their activities.

My perspective on Twitter is it’s the best search engine in the world because it’s live, actual links, people are using are being submitted to Twitter and searches can be issued against it and most likely you can find what your looking for. And so, why wouldn’t Google be interested in this type of service?

Easier Browsing: Try Using the ZOOM Function!

Zoom in screenshot

This is a short post, but a valid point.

As any user out there on the web, you’ve your monitor set for something like 1680 or higher, and you’ve your fast computer and everything is just hunky-dory, but the confusing part is that most sites are only created to handle or work with 1280; that’s just the way it is- It’s sad really.

Why are people torturing themselves with these itty-bitty little images and text?

It cries stupidity and it doesn’t make any sense!

Is Google going to be the all powerful Evil OZ?

Evil_Google I was in a discussion the other day with some friends and it was so interesting that it deserves to be written down and shared.

I’m not disgusted with Google and I don’t totally distrust them, but they do control or have access to a lot of information. I mean a lot of information. And when your talking about a company that deals with a lot of information, you really need to ask yourself, ‘what are they doing with it?’ or ‘what can they do with it?’

It’s a troubling thought.

Things I Like about Google Chrome

imageMy primary browser is NOT Chrome, but I keep it loaded for testing and as an option; you should always have options.

But Chrome is not one to be dismissed it’s got some power and speed. And while the browser doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of… say Firefox; it hasn’t crashed on me yet. And from that there are some things I like about the speedy browser.

So these are just some things I like about Chrome and as the wheel turns and Chrome actively supports plug-ins, I might be swayed a bit more easily.

Prediction: Windows 7 Keygen Flood– wait for it…

image One of the most amusing things I’ve seen with the ‘leaked’ versions of Windows 7 is the creation of the keygen, serial and hacks to activate Windows 7, but what’s better is the fact that it’s almost like the major players on this are waiting for the day of October 22nd.

It’s almost like they’re waiting for October 22nd and then they’re going to unleash this wave of keygen’s and serials to activate Windows 7.

But really, who can blame them or blame the people that want the keygen’s. It’s like a Robin Hood story; take from the rich and give to the poor, but in this case the poor guinea pigs who bough Vista and wound up with a bunch of stuff that didn’t work and a constant ‘are you sure’ parade of admin prompts.

While I’m impressed with the latest version of Windows, I feel that the Microsoft Vista customers have really been put out in the wind on this one.

Energy Cost Calculator: power consumption in to perspective

image If you’re not keeping track of which lights are being left on and still haven’t started using florescent lights, you probably didn’t realize we’re in bad economic times. Right now saving money is a cool/hip thing to do.

It’s the smart thing to do…

But if your just the slightest bit savvy this is a good program to cure the curious cats out there who want to find out what it costs to live civil like [using electricity and water].
