I visit the forums for Windows Live Writer a lot to attempt to help others where Windows Live Writer lacks some native abilities or if some people are just lost on how to use the application [since theirs no help manual].
But there’s a reoccurring issue/question in the forum about not being able to establish PAGES for BLOGGER from inside Windows Live Writer.
For some reason, the Windows Live Writer team just hasn’t gotten around to that yet, but there was a comment left the other day about how someone else did it, but it didn’t cover the issue of inserting images or other media…
So I offer this…

I was adding some image to a blog the other day, and as normal, I was using Windows Live Writer to do all my editing for the blog.
I’m starting to see Windows Live Writer age in front of me. The application is fairly young; it’s not mature- it’s really not and you can see this in the various shortcoming of the program, BUT the high side is that it’s still better than most free offerings, so I’m not going to gripe too much. Plug-ins do a lot to pull in the short areas…
My problem was adding a bunch of images to a blog and NOT using Windows LIVE album; I wanted all the images on my blog, hosted with me and presented inline.
But there were some obstacles…

Having the ability to record Skype conversations is one of those things that you’d think would be built into the Skype console. But since Skype doesn’t offer this function natively a lot of third party applications have stepped into fill the gap and allow people to record their conversations that they have on Skype.
There’s plenty of applications that provide this service, but some of these applications come with a steep cost. And the fact is there’s not a lot of applications that arrive at service for free.
I found this application the other day allows people with a Skype account to record their conversations and I thought I would share this information with you.

Windows Live Writer is due an update, but the Windows Live Writer team hasn’t announced any time frames as to when we might see the new version.
And while Windows Live Writer 2009 is a great program for blogging, and especially the use of using themes as you’re composing the post, some times the program doesn’t do as you expected and the themes are all messed up, or the theme your using with Windows Live Writer is not compatible.
So to help others adjust on the fly, here’s some information on how to deal with it.

I was working on some stuff the other day; it was completely boring and monotonous, but I had to grab information from a webpage […] 3 pieces of it and then paste it in to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
The constant switching back and forth was insane.
I wasn’t able to do all this automatically [hands off], but I made it a lot easier.
I wrote an AutoHotKey script to work for me…

Bloggers all want to have the same thing, they want to be able to put their information out their and be heard in some way, shape or fashion. And they all want to or love to hear feedback from the readers on what they think about the authors post.
While there are plenty of people out there that visit your site for one reason there are thousands that visit your site for a completely different purpose.
It’s comment defecation… They want to SPAM you with ‘NICE’ comments.
Here’s how it works…

I read this article today about how Mozilla Thunderbird is coming together and they’re working on the ‘Universal Inbox’; this is SO MUCH what everyone needs.
And I agree with a lot of what it has to say.
I was discussing this with a friend of mine the other day about this very same problem and he posted a link to RainDrop and it’s a very good point.
People are communicating in all kinds of portals, Instant Message, email, forums, Twitter, Facebook…. the list goes on.
There has to be a way to make sense of it all- maybe Raindrop and be that answer.

As your going about your daily life, there’s lots of thing you wish you had to keep track of it all and this was my problem about 4 years ago and then I found MyNotesKeeper. I posted an article about it last year, but it’s getting better, the author has been [within the last few months] actively pushing updates and new features.
One of the things I really like about MyNotesKeeper is the responses from the author; you don’t get it much with other developers, but with MyNotesKeeper he’s been listening to his users and adding the small thing they’re requesting. It really puts a polish on a great program.
