iPhone users have enjoyed Hootsuite for a while, but the team of developers at Hootsuite have been nice enough to bring it to Android.

Hootsuite integrates, social networking and communications in to one place, making it easier to manage your accounts. And in my opinion has done a great job by recently adding Facebook and linkedin.

Being able to review all your incoming communications in to one spot makes things easier and more entertaining.

This is another fascinating development from Google. It’s interesting that no one is doing these things and if they’re, they’re not publicized.

Microsoft presented a feature months ago where pictures were collected and use collaborative manner; offering up the same scene from multiple different angles.

You need to understand there’s trade off’s and that working remotely can be a double edged sword.

If your a person that deals with multiple network environments, you know it’s a pain in the butt to deal with is this DHCP or is this a static IP location and if it is, what’s the network settings to get this freakin’ computer on the network…

I’ve always said that windows should have offered a much better way of handling alternate locations/configs for Windows, but they never did.

I’m glad that someone finally recognized this and created something to address it. There’s not much more of an irritation when your flipping between LAN/WAN environments and having to redo those settings every other day [or more frequently].

Create ISO (or ISO Creators)
Creating an ISO is the same as creating an electronic copy of a CD without copying a CD. This doesn’t mean you can copy a copy-protected disc, but you can make back ups of CD like, personally created discs, music and driver CDs. These copies can be made and stored until you need them. They can be a real life saver is some situations.

LCISOCreator.exe – Creates ISO’s; very small and fast.

Mounting ISO’s
ISOs are extremely helpful to have if you catch your self in a tight spot needing that old CD or installation disc you may have misplaced or is now so scratched you can’t read it anymore. Being able to burn a copy of the disc again is great, but what if you don’t have to… what if you could access the ISO as if it was a drive letter like any other; you can.

MagicISO – Mounts ISO as drive letter, use the ISO without burning it to a disc.

Virtual Clone Drive – Probably the best virtual drive software, Virtual CloneDrive allows you to enjoy the freedom of a virtual drive and is completely free.

Burn an ISO
ISOs are direct images of the discs, you can just burn them off to CD/DVD.

IMGBurn – It’s free; it’s fast and it does the job. It has the ability to burn other types of data as well.
