Everyone has pointless entry and clicking tasks that they have to do on a regular basis; whether it be for work or at home you can associate with this statement.

The point to using scripting to remove or reduce that crap for you, make the computer do what you want it to do. I think AutoHotKey embodies that spirit fairly well.

For the last twenty years, the Internet has been moving and growing; it’s morphed so many times and now it’s almost like it’s omnipresent. It’s an expected service of just about every device you’ve and it’s not the most used information outlet; Television is still the most viewed/used.

It’s unquestionable that the picture quality of TV has gotten better, but the same basic programming, how that content is presented to us, hasn’t changed.

I understand the concept of wanting to protect your product and self-preservation, but where’s the adherement to web standards? Why can’t you just understand there are standards and everything needs to work through a browser.

One of the first things your going to need with Ubuntu 9.10 is FLASH player. I’m still not real happy with Ubuntu and Adobe on this mess; it’s just stupid.

How in the world is a new person to Ubuntu to understand half the gibberish crap about terminal commands, the tweaks to get the FLASH player installed?

While the Ubuntu forums are swarmed with them… this is what I did, it worked and it was painless in comparison to going to Adobe’s website to install the latest .DEB.

If your one of the lucky ones that are having issues with your PC after you uninstalled Norton 360; not being able to access any service but HTTP requests- your in a large group of users that are victim to Norton 360’s ability to uninstall properly.

The symptoms are you can’t get any other anti-virus updates, can’t visit other specialty sites or your VOIP program is not working, then you may be the winner of ‘I wanted my day to suck award’; thanks Norton. You’re a pal.

I was unpleasantly surprised when I got my latest Java update.

Sun has decided to move to the dark side and start putting crap-ware in the Java installation. Why do these guys do this; it’s just sucky and no one wants to see it.

It’s just what no one wants to see is a company that used to be respectable trying to squeeze in crap-ware in to a products automatic updates.

This has got to be one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. There are a lot of people hitting Digg everyday [a lot of them smart] and just about all them using something other than Internet Explorer.

Every IT Administrator/Consultant and web developers all over the world is trying to avoid Internet Explorer like a plague. They freakin’ hate it.

There are so many article about the issues with Internet Explorer. And the fact Internet Explorer performance can’t compete with open source browsers and how a chrome plug-in can out perform the base install of Internet Explorer.

Face it, if your using Internet Explorer 8 right now, your using a browser that’s equivalent to Windows 3.11

Email is such an official occurrence. For me when I get an email it’s a notification something has been completed, something official like my account has been opened or if I just registered for a website/forum.

When you get as many emails as I do, I’m looking for entertainment, something thought provoking and stimulating. And with 15+ years of Internet surfing and emails- I’ve seen all the chain letters, the scams, the crap and the just plain stupid emails… and I really don’t want to.
