Windows Live Writer: Creating a Custom Template

i2asg54fWindows Live Writer is due an update, but the Windows Live Writer team hasn’t announced any time frames as to when we might see the new version.

And while Windows Live Writer 2009 is a great program for blogging, and especially the use of using themes as you’re composing the post, some times the program doesn’t do as you expected and the themes are all messed up, or the theme your using with Windows Live Writer is not compatible.

So to help others adjust on the fly, here’s some information on how to deal with it.

Windows Live Writer 2010 – Just Minor Updates

i5305zjcWith Windows Live Writer 2010 looking like it’s going to be a few more months away from release, it’s looking unimpressive right now.

Windows Live Writer is the best blogging tool out there, but it’s development is so slow; it’s depressing. It’s no wonder Internet Explorer is taking such a beating.

If you were paying attention to the Twitter world this evening you’ll see that some more screenshots of Windows Live Writer 2010 were published and besides the change in the GUI, not much has changed, and there’s no details from the developers to say different.

Everything is hush right now.

I started off using Dragon NaturallySpeaking at work. I was in a position where I had to create large amounts of documentation and I typically had small windows of opportunity to create this information. I needed the ability to get the bulk of my information into a textual format so it can be refined and then ultimately distributed to other individuals; to be precipitated down to my work associates.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking coming to Blackberry [first]

image Nuance is still working on the release of their Dragon NaturallySpeaking for smart phones. While the release for the iPhone is still planned, it seems to be delayed a bit. The first release or beta testing of Dragon NaturallySpeaking for a smart phone will be for the Blackberry.

The release of the iPhone version is slated for release later this year… This is still very exciting news.

With everyone I’ve spoken to, they are very interested in this ability; the ability to dictate a blog from their phone.
