Review: Nuance PDF Converter Enterprise 7 [Awesome]

pdf download, pdf word, converter pdf, word to pdf, PDF creator, convert PDF, convert to PDF, document management software, word PDF converter, PDF to word converter, online PDF, text to speech, free PDF converter, PDF editorNuance has just released their latest version of their PDF converter Enterprise. Nuance is most popular for it’s voice recognition [Dragon NaturallySpeaking] and imaging software, such as [Omnipage/PaperPort]. They recently released a free version of their PDF viewer that’s available for anyone to download and use for everyday tasks.

But now Nuance is really putting their foot in the door on handling and generating PDFs. PDFs are pretty much the standard for swapping documents, or storing information, and it’s also Adobe Acrobat’s native ground.

With the offering that Nuance is making with their PDF converter it shows that they’re really trying to push Adobe off their pedestal, and to show them how it’s done…

Download Review: Balabolka–Text to Speech [TTS]

And I like using tools like this to be more productive. You can’t beat speaking and then seeing the words appear on the screen.

And back in March I was discussing using TTS [text to speech] to help with doing compositions and proof reading documents & emails for you, but in that article I was was referring to a program that handled the process of actually reading the text; that was a Shareware option.

I’ve found a new option, a outstanding option, it’s freeware and it’s got plenty of options. It’s called Balabolka

eM Client: The Evolution Of The E-mail Client

image A little over a year ago I did a review on very promising new e-mail client/Personal Information Manager called eM Client. I’ve been so impressed with the software that I’ve kept the application loaded upon my machine so that I could connect easily, later and do another review of the software.

It was time to revisit eM Client and do another in-depth review of the application to see what’s changed and to find out what improvements have been made.

When I do a review of an application, I’m reviewing the application based upon its usability, its practicality, and the raw function that brings to the users. I like to look at the applications as though if I’m going to be the one making the purchasing decisions and if the application offers everything the average users would be looking for [...]

Review: Windows Live Photo Gallery–Wave 4 Beta

imageThere’s never been a product from Microsoft that I would use to manage my photos or documents. Microsoft has always been too rigged on how they want to do stuff, it never flowed well enough to use on a regular basis.

There’s a funny thing about Microsoft; when they’re considered the underdog, they really start putting effort back in to their products to bring them back up, and you can this in Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Microsoft has apparently been paying attention [recently] to the new Internet and how social and how digital media is important; viewing it, editing, posting…

There’s some good improvements in the Windows Live Photo Gallery…

Here’s what I found…

Review: Windows Live Movie Maker–Wave 4 Beta – Awesome.

imageThe Windows Live team recently released the beta version of the Windows Live Essentials. I’m trying to go through and mine out/examine as much as I can on the best parts of the application and show the improvements in the latest version.

And as much as some people will hate to hear this, this release of Windows Live Movie Maker [WLMM] is outstanding.

They’ve improved a few things and changed things around with the GUI interface. My opinion of the ribbon interface is beyond distain, but with this application, it’s bearable. And my over all experience with the beta is really optimistic.

I plan on using it a lot more now.

Record A Skype Conversation

d1uwehxzHaving the ability to record Skype conversations is one of those things that you’d think would be built into the Skype console. But since Skype doesn’t offer this function natively a lot of third party applications have stepped into fill the gap and allow people to record their conversations that they have on Skype.

There’s plenty of applications that provide this service, but some of these applications come with a steep cost. And the fact is there’s not a lot of applications that arrive at service for free.

I found this application the other day allows people with a Skype account to record their conversations and I thought I would share this information with you.

Microsoft Internet Explorer – Why Do You Even Bother?

zo1y3njhInternet Explorer is just a disgusting example of what a browser should be and what it should do… It should be safe, secure, fast and compliant with current standards. All these words mean nothing to Internet Explorer.

Why is Microsoft still in this ‘race‘ anyway? They’re losing ground on every point of what an Internet browser is and how it should perform.

Microsoft is showing a lot of effort in a project that just isn’t happening. It’s like putting all this time and effort in to a sports car made of cheese, and your name is Ferrari; it may look real nice and have the name recognition, but it’s still cheesy and full of holes.

I was reading this story and decided to do my own tests and they were spot on…

Firefox Add-on: SmarterFox

SmarterFox firefox add-onMaking Firefox that much easier to use a common goal of everyone. I found this plug-in and I like how it works.

The basics of it are that when you double click a word(s) the terms can be searched by a quick popup window.

I thas some social and search functions from the popup that makes finding that unknown word or researhing a term very easy to research; even Twitter it.
