New TRON: Legacy Poster–AWESOME

Bloody Hell, Clu, Dad, Game Grid, Hard Drive, Hollywood, Junkie, Kevin Flynn, Legacy, Light Cycles, memory, Recognizer, Sark, snippets, Son Sam, Strange New World, Strange World, Trailers Movie, transformers, Tron MovieI’m a true uber-fan of TRON.

I really can’t wait to see the new version, but at the same time I’m hope that the Hollywood boys don’t jack it up like TRANSFORMERS.

Keeping in mind that TRON was made WAY before it’s time [1982]. No one understood it because no one understood computers. Now, everyone has a computer. Everyone knows what a hard drive and memory are and everyone is aware of what bad things can happen to a computer.

But over the last few months, they keep giving out snippets of information here, a trailer there. It’s very exciting and with the latest poster- it’s sexy.

Finding Options: The Declination Of Cable TV Subscribers

Boxee D link Internet TV There was an article posted recently about the cable user subscriptions and I think the information holds true. With the investments in technology and with the Internet providing just about any type of media form that you’re looking for, it makes perfect sense that the large TV Networks should be highly concerned over the future of subscriptions.

The basis of the TV Networks has been to sell advertising in Specific time frames during the most popular TV shows, but with providers that are purely based over the Internet, you’re dealing with a whole new market of consumer.

These consumers were focused on having video on demand, watching events when they want to watch them and choosing which media outlets they want to pay for.

Review: SALT–DVD Worthy

SALT, IMDB, MOVIE, review, jolie, image, Like a lot of other people, I was out this weekend and went to grab a movie. I chose to go check out the new movie from Angelina Jolie. The advertisements weren’t bad, the action looked good and the comments were that it was as good or better then the Bourne Identity…

The basis of the movie is a A CIA agent, seemingly normal, is accused of being a traitor. It’s a recycled tail of a  person who’s running to shield her family and clear her name. The story has a few twists, but nothing that’s not already transparent.

And SALT did almost $37 million at the box office this weekend, but I believe that’s where it’s going to drop- sharply next weekend.

Review: Inception – Awesome and Oscar Worthy

zrd3bh53There are so many movies coming out of Hollywood that are complete failures in their own right; it’s almost like they’re trying to set a new low.

And All I can say about that’s, I’m so glad they’ve Christopher Nolan out there to balance out the stupidity.

There seems to be a consistent pattern to the productions from Mr. Nolan. I’d speculate when you’ve the opportunity, and the direct ability to dictate how a movie is created, you can establish some really quality work-  like this…

The level of story telling with Mr. Nolan’s movies is really refreshing; it’s a really nice change.

I’ve a new respect for the work Mr. Nolan is doing…

Review: Windows Live Photo Gallery–Wave 4 Beta

imageThere’s never been a product from Microsoft that I would use to manage my photos or documents. Microsoft has always been too rigged on how they want to do stuff, it never flowed well enough to use on a regular basis.

There’s a funny thing about Microsoft; when they’re considered the underdog, they really start putting effort back in to their products to bring them back up, and you can this in Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Microsoft has apparently been paying attention [recently] to the new Internet and how social and how digital media is important; viewing it, editing, posting…

There’s some good improvements in the Windows Live Photo Gallery…

Here’s what I found…

Review: Windows Live Movie Maker–Wave 4 Beta – Awesome.

imageThe Windows Live team recently released the beta version of the Windows Live Essentials. I’m trying to go through and mine out/examine as much as I can on the best parts of the application and show the improvements in the latest version.

And as much as some people will hate to hear this, this release of Windows Live Movie Maker [WLMM] is outstanding.

They’ve improved a few things and changed things around with the GUI interface. My opinion of the ribbon interface is beyond distain, but with this application, it’s bearable. And my over all experience with the beta is really optimistic.

I plan on using it a lot more now.

PODCAST: BryanSays, Episode 3

imageI’m stepping out of my comfort zone with a post on my recent Podcast with Bryan Lee over at BryanSays.

I had a great time doing the Podcast with BryanSays.

It’s a nice conversation about current technologies, movies and just letting the diatribe juices flow.

It seems kind of weird for me to be on a Podcast to have someone listen to me carry on like a raccoon on crack, but Bryan has some great topics and more often than none, some of the best conversations can be the ones that are just random.

So, I’m placing this out there, and you can download it if you want; listen to it. But attempt not to think less of me- if that’s possible.
