LEHSYS Side Notes…- The fight to save Windows Live WriterThe bumbling dance moves Microsoft makes in their existence is just astounding... When Windows Live Writer was released, I'm sure it was meant as a complement to the blogging service that Microsoft was planning to offer to its users/members, in the form of Windows Live Spaces. Overall, Microsoft has a real problem with project concept and follow through […]
- Use Google Drive to sync blog posts with Windows Live Writer 2011I believe everyone has the same issue with Windows Live Writer; it's sync'ing the blog posts, recent and drafts to some place that can be sync'd across machines. Well, now that Google has released Google Drive you can now use Google drive to sync your data with them; beating Microsoft to the punch on their own service [postulating]… What you n […]
- Wow. There was an update to Windows Live Writer 2011…I was surprised to see there was an update to Windows Live Writer before Windows 8 came out. Honestly, I'm not able to even fathom why they did this, but only to find out if there's any bugs in it from the Windows Live Essentials team. The previous version of Windows Live Writer was v15.4.3538.513 the new version is 15.4.3555.308. In the grand sche […]

Google Gives Millions Free Guitar Lessons and Respect to Les Paul
Posted on June 10, 2011 | 1 CommentIf there’s one thing I like about Google is the search screen; it’s fast, no clutter and sometimes, you just don’t know what you’re going toget with their logo, but you can bet when they change it to stuff like Pac-Man last time; companies were hating them. This time they added a Guitar to the companies logo and darn if it ain’t addicting. I found myself pick the guitar more than I was searching for stuff and soon after, I wasn’t able to recall what I was going to look for. This type of stuff is truly entertaining; it’s something I’m glad Google does out of fun. But did you notice you can record your guitar playings? -
Getting everything from your Internet connection…
Posted on May 5, 2011 | 1 CommentI was reading through the article the other day about how Comcast had had a spike in consumer subscriptions into Internet broadband services. The fact that Comcast is having a spike in Internet subscriptions doesn’t surprise me one bit, actually I would expect to have more subscriptions, but what may be keeping consumers from adding high-speed Internet service to their homes would be the cost.. It’s no secret that Comcast’s network simply cannot revive the throughput, transfer rate, that they advertise. One of the biggest fallacies about the advertising for Internet service from services like Comcast is the fact that, while the network may be able to provide a short burst of high-speed Internet service for a specific function it has to be understood that the information can only be received at the same speed, or slightly lesser speed, then from where the information is originating from… -
Review: Motorola Xoom
Posted on March 14, 2011 | 3 CommentsThis review of the Motorola Xoom isn’t a comparison of the iPad; it’s simply a statement of what it is and how well I believe it performs… The release of the Motorola Xoom has come and gone, and while the commercials depicting the awesomeness of the tablet, the question has to be does it work and it’s it practical? My overall opinion of the tablet is that it’s good. The portability, the weight, the display and the responsiveness of the device is very good. And from what I have said before, it’s not so much the device, but the application that are going to make or break it in the public’s eye. Here’s some things that I have noticed about the tablet and something I though other might find interesting about the Xoom tablet. -
Techie Review: Nook Color
Posted on March 7, 2011 | No CommentsI recently ventured in make an attempt out the Nook Color. The overall presentation of the Nook Color was nice and it had some good points to it. The overall goal was to purchase an ebook reader for my wife, but she had just about as much hands on as I did. While she was working on the ‘just use it’ side of the house; I was working on the ‘what does it do’ side… She was happy with the performance of the Nook Color, it was great for reading her magazines and also with the built-in browser you cold browse the web for most sites. I never had an issue with it’s looks or performance. -
Coming 2012: TRON: Uprising – Animated Series
Posted on March 7, 2011 | No CommentsIf you have read my site before, you know I’m a big TRON fan, and when the movie came out it was met with sharp criticism, but the fact is the movie really has restated a complete make over for Disney and helped jumpstart the digital movies and what they can be for the movie industry. They have taken the TRON legacy, the built-in fan base and breathed NEW life in to the TRON franchise with a new upcoming series called TRON: Uprising. And this is exactly what I was discussing before. Between the 1982 movie and the release in 2010, there’s SO MUCH ground to cover and so many stories that can be created; this should be fascinating. -
The Future: Copying Movies once DVD and Blu-Ray discs die…
Posted on February 17, 2011 | No CommentsThere’s a big who-ha about copying DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Hell, there’s been a big deal about copying VHS, cassettes, records, radio and all the other media type that have come before DVD and Blu-Ray; but that didn’t stop it from happening… I believe it’s obvious that the future of renting movies is going to be streaming the movies from a video rental service. When you rent a movie, it’ll come from Netflix, RedBox or Amazon; or if Blockbuster is still around— maybe them too [but doubt it]. It’s also obvious to a large mass of people on the web and just about anyone that has a computer, a piece of media; if someone can get their hands on a piece of media, it can be copied by a computer. In some form fashion or way, it will be copied. But if there’s streaming video, how’s that going to work?

![Crushing IPad- That’s what the Android operating system is doing. This holiday season advertisers are pushing everything and nothing seems to be more popular than tech and gadget items. And what’s absent from a lot of advertisements [from what I've observed] is the iPad. The iPad has been the staple standard for tablet PC’s for an over extended period of time, everything is compared to the iPad; it IS the de facto standard by which every tablet PC is measured. It’s always the same thing, here’s the new tablet PC; and here’s the same thing compared to the iPad. It’s a silly game… The Android market and the iOS market have thousands of games and applications; and evenly matched developers are as well. So the game isn’t what does the iPad have vs. the other; we’re talking specifications and hardware levels now. And if you are talking that, you are talking ‘losing side’ for the iPad.](http://www.lehsys.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/rmws5erb.jpg.pagespeed.ce.rF-q7lioRn.jpg)

![WebGL in Chrome, Firefox and Opera – but not Internet Explorer I was checking out the WebGL abilities today in Chrome, Opera and in Firefox. I was really impressed. It seems like such a leap from the rigid world of webpages we live in nowadays. To think that the capabilities of WebGL could be integrated with a standard webpage to provide a much more rich experience than what we see now. WebGL is still emerging as a NEW standard in web media, but any browser worth mentioning is already working on this standard. ICONICLY [yes, I said that correctly] Internet Explorer doesn’t support WebGL graphics. I don’t understand why Microsoft even bothers with that browser anymore. So, in my testing, I decided to do a quick video to show those who would rather not load a new browser, just to see this feat of cool.](http://www.lehsys.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/f44pikk5-115x115.jpg)
