Internet TV: Is It Ready For Prime Time?

Image representing Apple TV as depicted in Cru...

Hulu has become a new favorite of mine, but not so much the service, but the option to cable TV. The service is good with Hulu, but it’s more than the service; it’s the hardware that’s required to work with those types of services.

I was looking at a Roku box today and it was being offered at a very acceptable price, but it actually has me thinking of the issues of not being developed enough. There’s complaints about Hulu not being robust enough to keep customers, but faced with the alternative… It’s not a bad option.

From what I was reading Roku is more focuses on the Netflix option than anything else; that seems to be it’s bread and butter, but it leaves me wondering why something like this would be locked in to one provider since it can play multiple media streams? Why not allow Hulu?

As Customers Wait: Netflix for Android

Advertisements, Battery Usage, Bonafide, Consumption, Home Computers, Iphones, Ipods, Lookout, Media Application, Mobile Devices, netflix, Playstation 3, Quasi Official, Scope, Solitary Place, Tvs, View Finder, Wii, xbox, Xbox 360An official Netflix application is in route to AnDroid devices.  Yes- It’s coming…

When is this going happen, but with any hard thought, hasn’t been decided yet.

With the Apple suite of mobile devices nicely dressed for show, Netflix is snapping on the scope, and dropping the view finder, on AnDroid, next. There’s no mention of when we can predict that.

The solitary place we’re standing fast Netflix?
     AnDroid based devices.

Post BLOGGER PAGES with Windows Live Writer

Blogger, Copy Paste, Ctrl C, Feedback Request, Forums, Html Post, Inserting Images, Issue Question, Lot, Native Abilities, New Version Of Windows, New Wave, New Windows, Reason, Time Windows, V15I visit the forums for Windows Live Writer a lot to attempt to help others where Windows Live Writer lacks some native abilities or if some people are just lost on how to use the application [since theirs no help manual].

But there’s a reoccurring issue/question in the forum about not being able to establish PAGES for BLOGGER from inside Windows Live Writer.

For some reason, the Windows Live Writer team just hasn’t gotten around to that yet, but there was a comment left the other day about how someone else did it, but it didn’t cover the issue of inserting images or other media…

So I offer this…

New TRON: Legacy Poster–AWESOME

Bloody Hell, Clu, Dad, Game Grid, Hard Drive, Hollywood, Junkie, Kevin Flynn, Legacy, Light Cycles, memory, Recognizer, Sark, snippets, Son Sam, Strange New World, Strange World, Trailers Movie, transformers, Tron MovieI’m a true uber-fan of TRON.

I really can’t wait to see the new version, but at the same time I’m hope that the Hollywood boys don’t jack it up like TRANSFORMERS.

Keeping in mind that TRON was made WAY before it’s time [1982]. No one understood it because no one understood computers. Now, everyone has a computer. Everyone knows what a hard drive and memory are and everyone is aware of what bad things can happen to a computer.

But over the last few months, they keep giving out snippets of information here, a trailer there. It’s very exciting and with the latest poster- it’s sexy.

Finding Options: The Declination Of Cable TV Subscribers

Boxee D link Internet TV There was an article posted recently about the cable user subscriptions and I think the information holds true. With the investments in technology and with the Internet providing just about any type of media form that you’re looking for, it makes perfect sense that the large TV Networks should be highly concerned over the future of subscriptions.

The basis of the TV Networks has been to sell advertising in Specific time frames during the most popular TV shows, but with providers that are purely based over the Internet, you’re dealing with a whole new market of consumer.

These consumers were focused on having video on demand, watching events when they want to watch them and choosing which media outlets they want to pay for.

Review: Nuance PDF Converter Enterprise 7 [Awesome]

pdf download, pdf word, converter pdf, word to pdf, PDF creator, convert PDF, convert to PDF, document management software, word PDF converter, PDF to word converter, online PDF, text to speech, free PDF converter, PDF editorNuance has just released their latest version of their PDF converter Enterprise. Nuance is most popular for it’s voice recognition [Dragon NaturallySpeaking] and imaging software, such as [Omnipage/PaperPort]. They recently released a free version of their PDF viewer that’s available for anyone to download and use for everyday tasks.

But now Nuance is really putting their foot in the door on handling and generating PDFs. PDFs are pretty much the standard for swapping documents, or storing information, and it’s also Adobe Acrobat’s native ground.

With the offering that Nuance is making with their PDF converter it shows that they’re really trying to push Adobe off their pedestal, and to show them how it’s done…

Remote Desktop Capture with VLC

image I was browsing a forum the other day and found a link to a very fascinating website. The idea of the site was the age old saying, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’. This can’t be more true in the world of tech support or even if you’re just trying to help someone fix a problem on their PC.

So this website [http://showmewhatswrong.com/] enables the user to capture 15 minutes of their desktop and send it, or upload it to YouTube to be viewed, so the other person can see what’s actually occurring; it’s not a live stream- it’s just a recording… It’s a great idea!

Everyone should use it for tech support, it should be standard with every new PC and it should be so much easier to use and deploy [not that it isn't already…]

But this got me contemplating VLC Player [VideoLAN]…

Console Controllers Suck: PC Gamers Dominate–Even The Bad Ones

imageI don’t do much on games here. I mostly focus on doing and providing things that help you with technology and being more productive, but I just saw this article from TechSpot and I was in a moment of glee.

Microsoft killed the cross platform project because PC gamers were devastating the console gamers; every time- every game.

I’ve believed this for a long time and finally there’s a study that reflects that…
