The Nexus 7 is Google’s first attempt to market a tablet and its winning over critics. Since its release, the Nexus has risen to the number one slot for products of its kind. Its speed, graphics, comfortable design and low price tag has made it appealing to users of other tablets.

The Nexus is a 7 inch android tablet that boasts to have good frame rates, app switching ability, navigation and view-ability. The tablet uses the Google Chrome browser and has Google’s apps pre-loaded.Its vibrant color display and fast processor make it a great tablet for game playing. And, its touch screen capabilities are better than previous android models.

What gives the Nexus 7 its power and speed is the Tegra 3 1.3 GHz processor and a newer improved Android version 4.1 operating system. Its touch screen is a small but powerful 7" 1280×800 HD.If you are familiar with a standard phone layout you will appreciate the Nexus tablet. It has the standard features found on most tablets; a microphone, front cam but no back cam, GPS, and its battery life can last up to 10 hours on one charge.

The Nexus 7 is one of the fastest androids on the market. It connects to your Internet provider by WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and has Bluetooth connectivity. The tablet super-fast wireless connection is good for people who need to download large files with their Internet services.

Upgrading to high speed Internet services will make it easier to download the over 600,000 apps and games made for the tablet. Using a high speed connection from your Internet provider will give you lightning fast access to millions of ebooks, thousands of movies, mp3s, TV shows and internet magazines. And, you can store your downloads with the seemingly unlimited amount of clouds storage you have access to.

The tablet comes in either 8GB or 16GB models with 1 GB ram, making it a good device for students and professionals on the go. When connected to a high speed Internet provider the Nexus 7 gives users quick access to assignments, email, news, or study materials. And it has the power and space for tons of videos, audios files, and ebooks downloads.

Overall the Nexus 7 is a great tablet computer, with plenty of powerful features that are backed by Google’s good name. However, it is up against many established players such as the iPad, Kindle Fire, and even the Nook. Google’s edge in the game may be its open Google play store, and its reputation for providing user-friendly android devices that are compatible with mac and PC users alike.

Despite all of buzz about this gadget it still failed to surpass the sales of Apples iPad and now that the iPad mini is soon to be released there would be more competition for the tablet market.

@Katie Swift well I think it’s important to remember that there’s a lot more android tablets on the market and there are iPads. Considering that android tablet is an android tablet, the only thing to compare is the hardware specifications. With so many manufacturers creating android tablets it’s hard to say that one manufacture would stand out any different than Google would have.
