Tit for Tat: Google vs Facebook— and Facebook users still can’t get a ‘DISLIKE’ button

It’s just who’s going to get who and who’s going to do it better. I gotta say this ‘coding war’ is just what users were needing. It’s like a ‘coding’ party, writing the new functions and features isn’t going to stop until someone cries uncle.

But today, Facebook unleashed a slew of new functions having to do with members wall posts, updates and feeds. And man, the backlash on this one! Users are just really, just, disgusted with the changes and confused. Having most scratching their heads asking ‘what the Hell happened?’

As a friend of mine so gingerly put it, ‘I’d like to wake up one morning and not find something on Facebook changed again…’

Facebook has changed up their stuff to have ‘stories’ in the main column and user updates ‘streaming in a small box on the top-right.

I have to ask, was the coding so fast you didn’t have time to push this through a QA or marketing study? I mean really, who likes this. I’m not able to help but see a midnight shot of coders just crammin stuff through and making it live; anything to compete with Google.

The best thing I can say about this is that now when Facebook pushes out updates, they’re giving little instrucitonals with each feature, button or service.

While Google is pushing out features; they’re pushing out cool stuff.

And while Facebook is pushing out features and layout changes, no one really wants these, and mostly— they can’t even get the DISLIKE option they have asked for forever. There’s so many things users are asking for and not getting it; now Google is on the scheme and they’re coding like crazy and not getting anything right.

I’m amused by this battle for my, and everyones, social presence and interaction tool, but if Facebook keeps this up; they might as we’ll be Curt Cobain.

Do you like all the new changes Facebook is making?

Thank you,
Larry Henry Jr.
