I have been using the Google Buzz for a few months and since then I have really not noticed any new traffic or attention since starting to use it. I have to wonder if this is going to be like another one of those Google projects that just never get any air under the wings.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe that the options that Google Buzz has some nice options, but I just can’t see the benefit to using it.
Is it just a sharp response to the thumping traffic and popularity that Twitter demands? I’d speculate Google had to respond with something…
It was surprising, like it was a knee jerk reaction to Twitter.
Google Buzz came out of nowhere; it didn’t go through your standard Google beta testing phase, and it’s now integrated in to everything Google offers [Google Picasa, reader, blogger and YouTube], but again, I’m not seeing the benefit.
I have to wonder what the future of Buzz is going to be?
Is it going to go the way of Google Wave? Not if Google has anything to do with it.
Success of things like this have a lot to do with how it’s presented and how useful it’s and the truth is right now, it’s just not that ‘it’ right now.
