That’s Odd: US to circumvent other countries censorship security measures? |
I was reading the article on how Obama approves of what Google is doing in response to the filtering and the security breaches, but what I read was eye catching.
It says basically that the US is going to help citizens in other countries get around that countries filtering technology, so they can see other stuff; making it uncensored.
Sounds a lot like a hack…
Mrs Clinton had also met executives from Google and Microsoft, as well as with Cisco Systems, which provides much of China’s internet infrastructure, to discuss how to stop countries from "stifling" access to information, the state department added.
Next week the US is to launch a new technology policy to help citizens in other countries to gain access to an uncensored internet.
I don’t know who others view this, but it’s kind of funny. Other countries, filter content to their people, and that’s their right.
What’s interesting is that while the US does very little, the terms of filtering, I wonder how the US government would feel if they filtered all PORN content in America, and say CHINA, gave all the banned users a way to see PORN.
Flipping that coin, I wonder how that coin would fall?
Thanks,
