Prediction: Windows 7 Keygen Flood– wait for it… |
One of the most amusing things I’ve seen with the ‘leaked’ versions of Windows 7 is the creation of the keygen, serial and hacks to activate Windows 7, but what’s better is the fact that it’s almost like the major players on this are waiting for the day of October 22nd.
It’s almost like they’re waiting for October 22nd and then they’re going to unleash this wave of keygen’s and serials to activate Windows 7.
But really, who can blame them or blame the people that want the keygen’s. It’s like a Robin Hood story; take from the rich and give to the poor, but in this case the poor guinea pigs who bough Vista and wound up with a bunch of stuff that didn’t work and a constant ‘are you sure’ parade of admin prompts.
While I’m impressed with the latest version of Windows, I feel that the Microsoft Vista customers have really been put out in the wind on this one.
My perspective is that Microsoft is really nuts.
For what they are asking for the Operating System, a customer could buy a whole new computer. Is a customer really going to buy an Operating System to put on a 5 year old pc/laptop; I don’t think so.
While Windows 7 is good. I think it’s the biggest service patch release to an Operating System since Windows ME. Windows 7 is what Vista should’ve been and that’s what customers are pissed about. Now they feel they’re being hit with a ‘double whammy’.
So, you’ve got all these customers that want a good product, that they were promised and never got, and you’ve got the ones who just can’t handle being stuck in in Windows XP anymore and lastly you’ve got the ones that just want the latest Microsoft Operating System at the lowest cost-
And there’s the ones that want to give it to them… [fergcorp_cdt_single date="October 22, 2009"]
BUT apparently not before it’s time.
What do you think?

Am still on XP SP3 , best OS I ever tried. Will W7 leave its users with bunch of driver incompatibility issues, especially for outdated / old drivers on old PCs ? Thats my biggest concern .
Second, Can a P4 2.4 Ghz and 1 GB of RAM run this smoothly ? I saw the W7 official system reqs, , but those arent usually accurate.
Mouad,
I've got Windows 7 installed on a 1.6ghz 1gb memory, on a laptop, and it
runs better with Windows 7 than it did with Windows XP; that means a
lot, BUT as with any upgrade there's going to be driver issues. I don't
dare say you’re not going to have issues, cause every machine is different.
Happy Computing.

Thats very good news ! I will definitely consider obtaining a copy of it.
