Time Warner Cable: Your Customers think you SUCK!

imageIt’s the best thing to hit the internet since email, or the Pamela Anderson videos…  [smile]

Time Warner Cable has screwed up so badly on their decisions to not only impose caps on monthly bandwidth [and charges], but they have actually blundered the implementation SO BAD, it’s sparked a call for government oversight!

It’s amazing what’ll happen if you piss enough people off; or if your abilities to make decisions are over shadowed by the fact you lack synaptic action to take the tin foil off the pop tart before you eat it.

I really hope everyone gets that last bit. I thought that was funny. ;)

I received a notification this morning from Congress.ORG. They send me the notices on things where they’re trying to get the publics’ reaction or input on current events or what the people think should happen with certain issues; if they do nothing, I just like the fact they tell me [but that’s another story].

The inquiry was… Should Congress regulate your Internet service plan?

Extract:

Internet providers who charge customers by how much they use would have to justify their prices to federal regulators under a bill introduced last week.

Freshman Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) filed the bill after some providers tested plans to charge customers more if they download video or otherwise use a lot of bandwidth. The companies argue that the increasing popularity of online video is taxing their ability to provide Internet service and that increased regulation could lead to higher prices for other customers.

The bill, H.R. 2902, would allow the Federal Trade Commission to review whether the pricing plans are fair.

Do you think federal regulators should review Internet pricing plans?

So there you have it.

And I’d so love to watching that butthead who decided to release or decided to implement this plan; how dumb do you look right now? His actions were so monumentally stupid; he managed to piss off pretty much all their Internet customers and customers that were not even theirs to piss off.

And they issued a press release to say it’s an issue of education; educating the customer…

NEW YORK–Time Warner Cable today announced it would alter plans to test Consumption Based Billing, shelving the trials while the customer education process continues.

Time Warner Cable Chief Executive Officer Glenn Britt said, “It is clear from the public response over the last two weeks that there is a great deal of misunderstanding about our plans to roll out additional tests on consumption based billing. As a result, we will not proceed with implementation of additional tests until further consultation with our customers and other interested parties, ensuring that community needs are being met. While we continue to believe that consumption based billing may be the best pricing plan for consumers, we want to do everything we can to inform our customers of our plans and have the benefit of their views as part of our testing process.”

Time Warner Cable also announced that it is working to make measurement tools available as quickly as possible. These tools will help customers understand how much bandwidth they consume and aid in the dialog going forward.

Britt added, “We look forward to continuing to work with Senator Schumer, our customers and all of the other interested parties as the process moves forward, to ensure that informed decisions are made about the best way to continue to provide our customers with the level of service that they expect and deserve from Time Warner Cable.”

imageNah- Nah I don’t think so, bub. Your the one that needs the educating.

Your greed has driven you to this point. You stand there; you stand there by your self and dance in the rain of your own incompetence.

Comcast is surely standing in a dark corner waiting for Time Warner Cable to set out so they can beat them with a bar of soap in a sock [code red anyone].

It’s so funny. Time Warner Cable has managed to not only muck’a round with their customer base, but EVERY OTHER ISP’s CUSTOMER! It’s like now every customer that’s getting Internet service is going to be granted a ‘customer bill of rights’ and a guaranteed service level.

Where’s this going to end, I don’t know yet, but to Time Warner Cable thanks for being stupid enough to infuriate millions of customer to spark law. This is an instant classic for me [and everyone]- good job.

Stand up – sign up and be counted.

Thanks for reading!

Enjoy.
